Each wash technique creates it own expressive effect. This lesson reviews five different techniques that we will be using in our next lessons.

This lesson will concentrate on a detailed demonstration of how to create five distinct wash applications that we can utilize in future lessons. By learning and honing the ability to produce these wash effects, we will gain a variety of tools that will enable us to have better control and refinement in our paintings. The methods we will explore include wet into wet, wet on dry, glazing, charging, and dragging wash techniques.
